Clinical Haematology & Medical oncology department of Malabar Cancer Centre offers treatment of both solid tumours and hematologic (benign and malignant) disorders. The department runs exclusive inpatient units, ‘Day Care' Chemotherapy ward and a dedicated stem cell transplant unit. We have counselors and dieticians to guide the patients. We are well versed in giving Chemotherapies, including newer targeted therapies as per latest international guidelines.

Brief description about the divisions

Clinical Hematology division :

Evaluation and treatment of benign and malignant hematological disorders is done in this division. This division also provides Hematopoetic stem cell transplantation for benign and malignant disorders in both adults and in children

Medical Oncology division :

Medical oncology division deals with comprehensive evaluation and medical treatment of cancers in adults with chemotherapy, immunotherapy and targeted agents.

Pediatric oncology division:

 The Paediatric Oncology division, looks after all children with cancer below the age of 14 years registered in MCC.

The Division provides not only comprehensive medical care but also social and psychological support to the affected children and their families.

Inpatient/Outpatient, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Services provided

Clinical Services:

Outpatient services: The Paediatric oncology OP functions from Monday to Saturday. The OP timings are from 9 am to 4.00 pm. Patients being attended to in the OPD include newly registered patients, patients undergoing treatment, patients with complications and patients under follow up.

Inpatient services: Patients get admitted for evaluation and diagnosis of malignancies, administration of chemotherapy and management of complications and emergencies.
